Bonaire 2012 Eat-Sleep-(Buddy) Dive
We are returning to the shore dive capital of the world - Bonaire.
You couldn't design a better island for diving than Bonaire. The entire island is ringed by a dense fringing reef that, on the leeward side, starts in just 30 feet of water. About 35 yards offshore, the reef drops off into the deep blue, punctuated by occasional mini-walls. In all, there are more than 60 recognized dive sites and, because the reef is so close to shore, you can explore the majority of them without ever boarding a dive boat. Just pick a spot, gear up and wade in.
